[Figure of an archbishop, Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin]

Artist(s) : Thomas Dineley (Draughtsman)

Sepia and red ink sketch depicting a male figure with crozier, robe and mitre, the whole enclosed within a rectangular decorated border. The figure commemorated is very possibly the former dean of Christ Church, and archbishop of Armagh, James Margetson (d. 1678), who was buried in the cathedral shortly before Thomas Dineley visited it.
