Biographical Notes Fl. 1828-1842. With Henry Winkles, he produced and helped to engrave three volumes of Winkles's architectural and picturesque illustrations of the cathedral churches of England and Wales (1836, 1838, 1842), which are credited with inspiring the Gothic revival in architecture. He further collaborated with Robert Garland, the architect on that project, to produce a volume on French cathedrals (1837). He also contributed to G.N. Wright's part-work series Ireland Illustrated (1829-1832).
