Henry Adlard (active 1824-1869), engraver. He is 'known primarily for his steel plates of monuments, castles and convents; his best work includes engravings from originals by Hogarth’ (Benezit Dictionary).
When giving evidence as an expert witness in a forgery trial, he described himself as a ‘historical engraver’, but his range is considerably wider than this.
