Authorship Notes The famous correspondence between Languet and Sidney, written in December 1573, discusses travels. Languet suggests that first hand observation is more valuable than what one can learn from others. In 'Epistolae Politicae et Historicae' (1633) the letter occurs at pp. 14-17. See The Correspondence of Sir Philip Sidney, 2 vols, ed. Roger Kuin (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2012), 1: 58-61.
