Notes 'Profitable Instructions' is composed of four separate texts. The first is a preface by the editor Benjamin Fisher. The second is a schematic series of heads on observation during travels by William Davidson titled 'The Most Notable and Excellent Instruction for Travellers'. The third and fourth are letters of advice by Robert Deveruex and Philip Sidney respectively. This was a small volume designed as a pocket book to be taken on travels.
