Authorship Notes In a text which mostly discusses the necessity to convert Amerindians to Protestantism, inside the section "Wandering Conceits", Benson provides some remarks on travels. Some of these are very close to Joseph Hall's 'Quo Vadis?', on the dangers that travel poses to morals. However, although Benson's remarks are heavily critical of most travels, he can still imagine a different type of travel which enriches both the country and the soul.
