Although the jury of the Lyon prize contest did not appreciate this submission (see the comments on the author's biographic file), it is a relatively complex, if somewhat disorganized apodemic dissertation.
The author of this dissertation is fully convinced of the utility of travelling - travelling can complement what is, in these days, commonly missing from education. Accompanied by a tutor, the young man will visit Paris, discover the mysery hidden behind the luxury, as well as other places on land and sea, to learn core elements of various professions.
During travels, the young man will lose his softness, learn languages, learn the art of conversation, and how to avoid ridicule; it is through travelling that abstract knowledge will find application. |
